Role Description

Kainos is at the forefront of helping organisations to be digital. We want to build on this to help organisations unlock the value from their data, combining this with digital services. To do this we are looking for a strong data advocate who combines delivery and commercial experience to identify, secure and orient delivery for new business across public and private sectors.

          

  • Understands and is able to articulate the value an organisation can gain from their data in line with their business goals.

  • Advises customers and shapes their thinking to help identify compelling data propositions.

  • Works with our data team to define and shape go-to-market offerings.

  • Works with our Account Managers to develop data opportunities in existing accounts to build a robust pipeline of data opportunities.

  • Establishes and sustains key customer relationships with decision makers including CxO.

  • Takes a lead role to orient and assure our team’s data science and data engineering implementations.

  • Keeps up-to-date with trends in data science and engineering, including techniques, competitors, partners and technology trends.

  • Builds and sustains partner relationships to secure commercial opportunities.

  • Promotes our position as industry leaders at industry data conferences and local events.

Required Experience

      

  • Gets and can convey the value of data over technology.

  • Has knowledge of advanced analytics and data science.

  • Has been involved in delivery of successful data-oriented solutions.

  • Is familiar with the data challenges within the public sector or finance services.

  • Is familiar with technology to support data engineering including Hadoop.

  • Has used their strong communication skills to educate, persuade and negotiate with customers to secure new business.

  • Has recent experience of consultant-led business development, ideally in the data and analytics domain.

  • Has an entrepreneurial mindset having worked with clients to create business cases.

  • Has experience of working with Public Sector or Financial Services verticals.

  • Has experience of working in data warehousing, data management or business intelligence.

  • Is a high-energy, motivated, team player.

  • Is a self-starter with a drive and passion to solve business problems for customers.

       

Kainos is a professional services organisation with clients spread across the globe and we deliver projects both from client site, and from our offices. While we will attempt to base you on projects near or at your contracted office location, you need to be willing to travel to client sites and spend time away during the week if it is required.

     

Given the range and nature of work that we carry out for our clients, all Kainos employees are required to possesses up to date security clearance (Basic Disclosure, Access NI etc), if you do not already possess this, you will be asked to apply for it prior to joining Kainos.
